The Cottages & Property

Relaxing on the lawn Lawton's Cove Housekeeping Cottage Resort consists of six, two and three bedroom cottages located on two acres of Doe Lake waterfront. The cottages each have a front porch affording an excellent view of the beachfront and lake.

Each cottage is electrically heated and contains a modern electric stove, refrigerator and microwave oven as well as pots, pans, dishes, toaster, kettle and coffeemaker.

Each bedroom has one double bed with a new mattress. Pillows, blankets and comforters are provided but bed linens are not included. If needed, linens will be available at a small additional cost of $7.50 per bed per week.

The cottages all have hot and cold water in the kitchen and the two piece bathroom.

There is a central shower facility with ample hot water. The grounds are well kept and there is a play area for the children with swings, slide and teeter totter.

For the adults, there is a horseshoe pit. There is a central fire pit with the wood provided for the nightly campfires. (weather permitting)

Lower rates for weeks and weekends in May, June, and September; also, for the fisherman / fisherwoman, cottage, boat and motor packages.		 2 bedroom cottages accommodate 4 persons, and 3 bedroom cottage accommodates 6 persons. There is a $15 charge per person per night for guests over the accommodation limit: subject to the prior approval of management.

A $100.00 deposit per week is required on all advance reservations and the remainder is payable on arrival by cash, money order, or certified cheque. We require a ninety day advance notice of cancellation before a deposit can be returned.

During July and August, we prefer weekly rentals, Saturday to Saturday.

Check-in time is 3:00 P.M. and check-out time is 10:00 A.M.

Boat and 6 hp. motor:
Daily $45 + gas + taxes = $80
Weekly $175 + gas + taxes = $245
Boat and 9.9 hp. motor:
Daily $55 + gas + taxes = $90
Weekly $200 + gas + taxes = $280
Boat and 9.9 4 stroke electric start
Daily $60 + gas + taxes = $95
Weekly $225 + gas + taxes = $295

Prices include life jackets.

Weekly boat and motor rentals include the first tank of gas.		 Additional tanks of gas are $35 including gas, oil and applicable taxes.

A canoe is available for your use at no charge but children must be supervised.

Windsurfer Hourly = $10Daily = $50

If you bring your own boat, there is a dockage fee: $8 per day or $40 per week.

All prices include applicable federal and provincial taxes.

Renters are responsible for any damage to equipment.
Expectations
  1. Check-in time is 3 o'clock P.M. If you find that you are going to be very late arriving, please let us know.
  2. Check-out time is 10 o'clock A.M. Please try to be prompt. It really makes our lives a lot easier.
  3. Please try to leave the cottages in a condition similar to when you arrived.
  4. We allow pets. Please clean up after them. They must be under control at all times. Pets are not allowed on the beach area. If you wish to take them in the water, feel free to take them off the boat ramp on the other side of the docks.
  5. We ask that parents be responsible for their children's safety and actions. We allow the children fairly liberal freedom as long as they are not destructive or bothersome to the other guests.
  6. We havea campfire almost every night. Since some of our guests do not have children with them, we think it only fair that children are quiet by 10 P.M. In that same regard, we would expect that those at the campfire would keep the noise level down aswell.
  7. We work very hard to keep the property looking nice. Our work is much easier if people pick up after themselves.
  8. We want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible. We want you to want to come back again. If there is anything bothering you or anything we can do to make your vacation more enjoyable please do not hesitate to ask any one of us. (We have only limited control over the weather)
