Those who stay at Lawton's Cove Housekeeping Cottages enjoy one of the best beachfronts in the area. A beautiful sand beach in an area of Doe Lake that is very shallow with a hard sand bottom, ideally suited for small children. A raft is located in deeper water for adults and older children. A volleyball net set up in the water is an excellent source of enjoyment. A pedalboat and a canoe are free for guests spending their holidays at Lawton's Cove Cottages just north of Muskoka, Ontario.

Ontario's Doe Lake consists of three connected lakes: Little Doe, where Lawton's Cove Housekeeping Cottages are located, Middle Doe and Big Doe, enough water to provide hours of boating pleasure. For your boating enjoyment, boats and motors are available for rental. Little Doe lake is excellent for water sports such as water-skiing, tubing, wakeboarding and windsurfing. A windsurfer is available for rent. If you bring your own boat our boat ramp can accommodate most of the smaller runabouts and there is a public ramp nearby for the larger boats. Dockage is provided at an extra charge.

On many occasions people have used Lawton's Cove Cottages for family celebrations such as reunions, birthdays and anniversaries. We have even had a wedding here. It would be very difficult for us to have this kind of celebration during our busy season of July and August; however, in the months of May, June or September, we would be most happy to assist in any way possible guests who would like to hold their celebrations with us.

Walleye & Northern Pike Fishing is Good
Doe Lake is noted for its excellent fishing. Those who come here to fish on a regular basis have been extremely successful. In the spring and fall the walleye and northern pike fishing is particularly good. In May, June and September we offer very good cottage packages which include a boat and motor. In the summer, small mouth bass are abundant. As well there are lots of panfish, perch and sunfish to attract the young anglers. The children catch many fish off the end of our dock. For the successful fishermen, a fish cleaning hut is provided and we ask that you use this rather than your cottage for cleaning your catch.
